HTTPS connection to external webserver

Hi experts,

I have a servlet SlingAllMethodsServlet that should call external HTTPS webservice. I understand the connection should be trusted and I need to provide some kind of SSL information. Is there a configuration/place in CQ5 where I can add the certificate and let the JVM take care of https connection? I hope I do not have to explicitely code for HTTPS connection using certification info in my servlet code.

Any pointers will be helpful. Thank you in advance.

I resolved this by placing signed certificate in java trust store. I should have cleared in my question that I was looking for outbound SSL not inbound.
