I have a script which merges PDF (creates a template of an existing page, resizes the page to merge and spawns the template into that page). This works well when the pages are actual size, but if the page has been cropped in Acrobat, it includes the area that was cropped when it is merged (since Acrobat doesn't actually 'crop' the pages).
I have made several attempts to try to crop out the unused parts of the page (usually images, but could include text) both before and after creating/merging the template, but haven't had any luck.
I am guessing that the answer is no, but is there any way to fully crop the page, or to set the crop for the template before it is spawned, that would result in the merged page spread showing only the cropped area of the original pages and omitting the areas that were cropped?
