Problem with Date/time

Tags: #time

I installed my new PSE 10 yesterday. Exported RAW files in LR3 to TIFF for editing in PSE 10. I noticed date/time in converted TIFF file is approximately 8 hrs behind.

I am located in Perth, Australia. Could it be that I have selected the wrong country at the time of installation - Austria instead of Australia. How can I check this and rectify it.

For info, my date/time on my computer is correct at local Australian time.

Because the time difference is in exact whole numbers hours, this indicates that the camera and your computer are in two different time zones.  You can check your computers time zone by clicking on the time in your system tray (bottom right corner) and then selecting change Date & Time Settings.  You could also go to your control panel and then clicking on Date and Time and looking for something like this picture:

I am on Windows system so your Mac (assuming here) will be different.

You can change the time on your pictures by going to Organizer.

    Hope this helps.

Where are you seeing this? In thumbnail view in the Organizer Elements normally uses the date & time the photo was taken, unless you minimized metadata when exporting from Lightroom.

Yes when making your tiffs try leaving the two metadata boxes unchecked in the Lightroom export dialog. That should preserve the original camera data and any modification dates made in the Develop module.
