I installed my new PSE 10 yesterday. Exported RAW files in LR3 to TIFF for editing in PSE 10. I noticed date/time in converted TIFF file is approximately 8 hrs behind.
I am located in Perth, Australia. Could it be that I have selected the wrong country at the time of installation - Austria instead of Australia. How can I check this and rectify it.
For info, my date/time on my computer is correct at local Australian time.

Because the time difference is in exact whole numbers hours, this indicates that the camera and your computer are in two different time zones. You can check your computers time zone by clicking on the time in your system tray (bottom right corner) and then selecting change Date & Time Settings. You could also go to your control panel and then clicking on Date and Time and looking for something like this picture:
I am on Windows system so your Mac (assuming here) will be different.
You can change the time on your pictures by going to Organizer.
Hope this helps.
Sorry, your answer is of no help to me. My system time is correct on my
computer and I am using Window 7.
My problem was that Tiff files exported from LR3 does not reflect same
local time in Perth. It was approximately 8 hour behind but not exact whole
number, so you assumption was incorrect.
I hope I am making myself clear for you o try to assist. As of now I am
seeing a jpeg file which I have added to the Organiser but it shows a time
of 04/08/2012 9:23 AM but recall I did this approximately 7 plus PM. What I
mean is that the files I import into PSE 10 should show the local time same
as the time I did the import.
In the Organizer and in single photo view at the left lower corner. Yes I
did minimize metadata when exporting from LR3. Photos were taken some time
back and certainly not 5th August 2012. However photo was exported on 5th
August 2012. Even if it bears the export date, it should not be like 8
hours behind. Perhaps I should try and export without minimizing metadata.
I tried something else last evening. I downloaded a photo shot yesterday
directly into Elements 10 and it bears the correct date/time similar to the
computer system date/time.
I think we are getting somewhere now; hope to hear from you soon and thanks.
Yes I did so a short while ago and the file in Elements is now showing
original date that the photo was taken. Thank you for showing the way.
This is my first experience with Elements
I hope to combine LR3 and Elements together to have files ready for print
as well as web. I am interested to see what workflow others are adopting.
And to accelerate learning Elements 10 I bought "Teach Yourself Visually
Photoshop Elements 10" today.
