How to open photos as single layers

Aug 5, 2012 8:39 AM

Hello experienced people.  Can someone please tell me to open a number of photos and see them as different layers in the right hand panel.  I am trying to learn HDR and need to be able to see the different exposures as layers so that I can move them around and use the best bits.

Thanks for your help Terry

Open all your images and drag and drop each one from the project bin into the main editing window.

    Terry,

    Open a blank new file.

Then go to File>Place, point to where the files are on the computer, Place, then commit.

Each picture file should be on its own layer.

In addition to hatstead's suggestion, you can use the Photomerge Exposure function to get the images in as layers.  See the Help file.
