Why Won't the Acrobat x trial install?

I Live in the UK and have tried to download (successfully) and install (unsuccessfully) the acrobat 10(x) trial.  I get a message saying that this cannot be installed on my system and it refers me to the min.system specs required.  I have checked these and my system is well above what is required ...... I am running:

P4 - 3.4Ghz

3.5 Gb RAM

200Gb+ Free HDD

XP pro SP2

 

I cant see whats wrong....... Does anyone have any ideas?

 

Antivirus software is turned off for both download and installation attempts.

 

I sure dont want to spend this type of money on a programme that wont run on my rig!
