Captivate 6 / HTML Browser Issue

Tags: #html #5 #captivate_6

I'm trying to view my Captivate 6 project on my iPad, and I get the following error message:

This browser does not support some of the content in the file you are trying to view. Use one of the following browsers:

- iE9 or later

- Safari 5.1 or later

- Google Chrome 17 or later

Strangely the simulation actually works exactly how it's supposed to, but I get this error every time I try to load it. Is this a setting I can adjust? Or a sizing issue? Any ideas?

I brought the simulation into Flash using StageWebView, and i get the following error in the ouput panel:

TypeError: Result of expression 'a.load' [undefined] is not a function.

    Hi,

That message is a disclaimer for users who might be aware about the requirements for HTML 5 compatible browsers, as HTML 5 is fairly new technology and is grooming so browsers prior to mentioned versions would not be able to adapt to your content and display it, hence the listed versions are recommended.

btw, can you launch your project in Captivate and open HTML 5 Tracker and see if there is any object that is not supported listed there?

About the below errors, you are using Flash Professional right?

Is there a speicif motive behind this!

    Thanks!

    Anjaneai

I'm in the same boat. I'm testing on a Droid with Internet Explorer. I too get the dislcaimer message, but the course works fine. I saw that the message was located in the project.jsp file. I modified the  message in the project.jsp file, but it still had old disclaimer when I ran the course.  How can I change it or get rid of it?

Found it. Open the index.html file in a editor and you can change the message. I changed it to say something like "This browser MAY not be supported. If you can, use....."
