Issues downloading Adobe Digital Editions

I've tried to download Adobe Digital Editions, but when I click on the Install button and it prompts me to click "yes" to agree to continue downloading a message comes up saying that an error has occurred in downloading and to try again. I can't figure out what the error might be,and how to download the program. Any help is appreciated!

    The error most likely is from your operating system/firewall.  Windows 7

    computer users seem to encounter this error often, probably because the

    settings in the firewall aren't allowing the download to continue past the

    handshake.  If your computer is a Windows 7 PC, then check out the way you

    set up permission for downloads to occur from websites, and make the

    appropriate adjustments to allow Adobe's website to download to your

    computer.  I'm a Windows XP user, so I don't know what those settings are,

    but from the Forum posts, I know that this is a problem.
