Acrobat is closing after 8 seconds

Acrobat Pro and Reader will only stay open for  8 seconds or less. Which is fine if you're riding a bull but for reading documents not to great. I downloaded and ran the license fix three times following the directions for rebooting in between and it still doesn't work.

 

Need this resolved asap.

    You need to provide system information! The blindfold guess would be that a security tool is shutting down anything to do with PDF because they are "evil" as per the virus scanner's or whatever logic, but without any more info nobody can be halfway certain...
