File Compatability Mode

Aug 7, 2012 12:38 AM

I get an error message when trying to place a .psd file into a muse page. It says that the file was saved with compatability mode off. Try resaving with compatability mode enabled in photoshop. My photoshop CS6 is set to always  save with maximum compatability. Whats going on here?

    Hi,

Make sure when you save the .psd file this option is checked,

I believe the UI for maximum compatibility only appears in Photoshop for a Save As. Did you do a Save As after changing the preference to ask, or just a Save?

Please click the "Reset All Warning Dialogs" button at the bottom of the "General" panel of "Preferences" in Photoshop.

This resets all the "Do not show again" dialogs to show until you again click the "Don't show again" checkbox. This wasn't necessary in my experiementation with changing the compatibility settings in preferences, but it seems worth a try.
