Hi
I have just started practicing with digital signatures so have very little understanding! I am using it to protect a digital subscription to a magazine.
So far I have set up my own digital ID and exchanged FDF files with a colleague who was able to see the secure document.
However, it has not been so straightforward when tested with a Mac. The colleague had gone through all necessary steps and created a digital ID, and was prompted to email the exchange file to me. I received a p12 file instead of the fdf I was expecting.
I find that I now cannot add this user to my trusted contacts and I am being asked to enter the password. It seems as though I have received the private key. Do the two keys need to be separated somehow before emailing?
Where did we go wrong?
Many thanks
