Flash Player audio no longer combined with Firefox?

Hi guys.
Since the new update the firefox and flash player's volume slider in the volume control now are two different sliders.
Lowering the audio in Firefox no longer helps if you want to lower the volume on a youtube video. Now you have to lower "Adobe flash player 11.3 r300" witch kinda sucks.
but the biggest problem is that whenever opening a new session in firefox the audio levels are maxed out! My headphones broke because of the high noise.
Is it possible to make the two one slider again? and if so, how?
My OS is win7 64-bit if that helps.
