Mask Shadows

Aug 8, 2012 10:47 AM

In Photoshop CS5, some of my rectangular layer masks are creating a lighter shadow like bandin just below the top of the mask.  No effects are applied to the mask. How do I correct this issue?

I’m not sure I understand – could you please post a screenshot with the Layers Panel visible and the region in question marked?

Have you figured out the issue yet?

Things that might have an effect could be Layer Masks on a Group in which the Layer resides, higher Layers with Knockout settings, … but to make sure it’s not this Layer’s Layer Mask itself could you post a screenshot of it?
