So, I read and tried the various past post on this subject without any luck.
When I "Edit in Photoshop CS6" (CMD+E), CS6 launches but the image isn't sent to CS6. I just get the default CS working space. I've been using LR4.1 since it came out and just got CS6 (I didn't have previous version of CS).
I'm running LR4.1, CS6, ACR 7.1 on a Mac.
Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Important: Apple made the user library folder hidden by default with the release of Mac OS X 10.7. If you need access to files in the hidden library folder to perform Adobe-related troubleshooting, see How to access hidden user library files.
Solution 2: Uninstall and reinstall Photoshop CS5. To uninstall Photoshop, use the uninstall application in the Applications/Utilities/Adobe Installers folder.

or:
Go to Edit >> Preferences
Click the External Editing Tab
Under Additional External Editor choose CS5.
My problem seems limited to images from the Nikon D800. DNG files (D800 NEF files imported via LR4.1) is not passed to CS6 using the Lightroom "Edit in Photoshop" command. Photoshop opens but the image is not passed or sent. I am able to open the same DNG file (D800 NEF files imported via LR4.1) directly in CS6.
Very strange.
All good now.
My issues apparently had to do with the trial version. I guess "edit in" doesn't work with the trial version although I couldn't find anywhere that stated otherwise. Even though I had uninstalled CS6 (and manually removed the plist file) and re-installed with a valid serial number, the "edit in" command failed to work until after the 30 day trial period was over.
