Clearscan doc with 52MB of embedded fonts

Aug 10, 2012 2:40 PM

Hi Folks,

I scanned a 924-page document.  I made it into a pdf and used clearscan OCR on it at 600 DPI (200 pages at a time so as not to crash acrobat).  I've ended up with a 60 MB file, 52 MB of which is fonts!  Is there any way to intelligently group the fonts to reduce the size?  I'm sure there are two thousand fonts for "a" in there, all of which are just a pixel or two different from each other.  Those should be grouped as a single font for "a"!  I doubt there's a way for me to do this, but thought I'd ask.

thanks!

Did you check the fonts in the document?
