I have several sounds being triggered by buttons. I have each button set to stop all the other sounds, then play the selected mp3. it's not a very elegant solution but seems like it should work.
it works fine on the desktop Flash preview but not on iPad.
Any thoughts on what might be wrong or how I might work this out?
Check the filepath of your mp3 files and see if there are no special characters in the entire path like accents or other characters. This can happen because the computer can handle this filepath, but the moment you transfer to iPad you run into trouble because the iOS can't interpret these complex characters in the filepath.
Thanks for getting back to me
HI Yasin thanks I'll get in touch!
As for the file paths, the names of the files are simple (01.mp3, 02.mp3) and the path is also simple with no special characters.
Just one question. So you have several mp3 files, all triggered by one button per mp3. So you want to start an mp3 file, and when you change your mind you want to press another button that will stop the current playing mp3 file, and starts the mp3 file of the button you pushed?
If so, this is standard behaviour. It's not necessary to add several actions because only one mp3 file can be played at the time. So when you press another button, the first mp3 file stops automatically. Also keep in mind that the "stop all" action is not supported with DPS.
I've found that the content viewer get's very confused if you try and set off more than one piece of media at the same time
Best to keep it simple and just let one finish before triggering another
