Printing A5 layout impossible (if Epson restricts 'thick' paper to manual-rear) ?

Aug 19, 2012 5:34 PM

Nightmare ?  I^m stuck with an urgent print job that i prepared as a A5 preset module, with sizes that are meant to remain exact (for later framing).

But when I specify that the choosen paper is Epson`s  "Hot Press Natural",  Epson`s interface relegates the paper input place from "sheet" to the  "manual rear" only,

and where the A5 size option is not available  (becose A5  is too small?  - but if i introduce there an A5 sized Epson 'Hotpress' nevertheless, it prints perfectly - but with image-size missmatch).

Apparently it remains only possible then to choose A4 size, and say one wants to print multi-page on A4 - but then lightroom will stretch my A5 layout to A4 -so I'm supposed to say to the Printer to reduce 50%... that seems rubbish proceedures unworthy...

The layout includes colored backgrownd, so a 'work arond' of placing "botom margin" high up such as to spare half a page -is not an option.

(Meanwile it's unreasonable to just wait for a fast help here, as i will / can redoo the layout as a  "twice on a A4" , cut the resulting print  in two and keep a copy for archives..  - but just seem unreal situation)

Where do I miss something..?

Easy work around for future such print jobs ( how if for instance I want to print on single "art carts" ) ?
