Aftereffects imports jpegs as 18000x18000?

Recently got aftereffects cs5.5, and all has been running smooth except for this little snag up. Every time i try to import a photo i've made using photoshop, it imports it as this rediculious amount. Starting to bother me, because it slows my system down to a snail speed. Can anyone help me with this?

We need screenshots, exact info about the images/ a sample image. The files could simply get damaged on save of contain "bad" metadata that throws off AE plus there could be a million otehr things going on. Impossible to tell from your vague info.

Hi

A photo? is that a single photo, or multiple photos which were created using photoshop because , After Effects supports a maximum image size of 30,000x30,000 pixels for importing and rendering files also the size of image that you can import or export is influenced by the amount of physical RAM available to After Effects. The maximum composition dimensions are also 30,000x30,000 pixels.
