Photoshop CS6 issues

Aug 21, 2012 8:02 AM

I have 2 issues.

#1 - Bridge crash's upon launch

#2 - I cannot install Camera Raw 7.1. I get an "Update Failed" saying "Unable to write at this location: '/Users/MediaServics?library/Application Supposrt/Adobe' Please provide write permissions to this location and try again. I have selected this location in the Preferences, whats my next step?

I am running Mac OS 10.8 on a mid-2011 Powerbook.

I have no issues with Bridge or CR on a mid-2011 iMac running the same OS.

Thx,

Kevin

Moving this discussion to the Photoshop General Discussion forum.  Kjmrbp what error do you receive when Bridge crashes?

In you installation did you use default locations, or are these locations you specified?

For the Bridge crash do a quick search on this site.  Lots of posts on Mt. Lion and Bridge crashes.  See if any of that helps solve problem.

For ACR do you have enough disk space for the file to write to?

Not a Mac user, but there was a post a few days back that on a mac, and I hope this is correct, that there are 2 library folders, one in root (hidden?) and one in user name.

Actually Curt, there are at least THREE (3) Library folders: the two you mentioned and another one in the (root level) System folder.  There will be as many user Libraries as the number of accounts you have created in your Mac.

    :-)
