"View sequence timecode as a burn-in" is not working according to the directions you have listed on this page.  I have CS6 and I've followed this exactly as you've described. I used an adjustment layer and when I drag the timecode to my clip, the timecode does not show up. I see the icon but no the numbers.

Post screen shots of your sequence and Effects Control Panel.

how do i post a pic? if you got the time and think you know what the problem is, you can email me at tidejag01@yahoo.com

apparently they had the same problem with CS5.5 on Lion then had an update.  As for CS6, I don't know if it's a problem just for me or for others. no one else has commented here. btw, I'm still on Lion. I haven't upgraded to Mountain Lion yet.

This article goes into detail on one method of producing and attaching screen-caps, in the Adobe Forums: http://forums.adobe.com/thread/592070?tstart=30

    Good luck,

i can't post a pic. i don't have that option. all i have is a log in space with password and an empty box. i've been in the creative cow forums. I'm doing it right. i'm inserting the timecode on a transparent or adjustment layer and the timecode is not there. Thankfully I still have FCP because as usual with Premiere problems like this, I often say, "good ole fcp."

I'll just do it in FCP.  Thanks for your willingness to help Jim.

    i can't post a pic. i don't have that option.

Are you accessing the Forums via e-mail host, i.e. a POP account, or are you accessing them via a browser, via HTTP?

I have heard of many e-mail users, who do not have the capability to attach images, and a couple of iPad users, having similar issues. As I always access via HTTP, I have never experienced those issues that e-mail seem to have.

    Good luck,

    Hunt

Hm-m, and in the Reply editing screen, you do not have that little "camera" icon in the Toolbar?

    What browser are you using?

Good luck, and thanks for the info.

    Thankfully I still have FCP

That means you're working on a Mac.  There was a bug with earlier versions of PP that wouldn't show the timecode when using Lion (10.7).  But that bug was fixed in the 5.5.2 update.  To the best of my knowledge, it shouldn't still be there for CS6.

    So..are you sure you're using CS6?

if i have to uninstall then reinstall, how difficult is it to uninstall? it's more than just draggin PPr to the trash, right?
