Crashing on Startup: Assert: "WebFontData must have a least one variation"

No matter what web site I try to open, Muse gives me the following:

 

Adobe Muse will now shutdown.

Assert: "WebFontData must have a least one variation"

 

Can anybody tell me what this means and how to fix? Thank you! Stranded until I can get back to work!

    i'm having the same problem don't know what caused this bug muse worked well yesterday

    Same. In fact it was working minutes before this just fine. And I'm reading dozens of others all over the place having hte same issue. It's server-side, no doubt, but nobody's getting anything figured out.

    I also have the same problem. Interestingly, Muse will still open older Muse site files built and saved in earlier iterations of this software. This is not good as I am in the middle of building four sites.... this constitutes an official bad hair day. Been on hold for 45 minutes with Adobe after a projected wait time of 1—3 minutes

    I'm having the same problem and I agree with Todd Clary that it must be a server-side issue. I have found the following temporary solution: (1) Disconnect from the Internet (2) Run Muse. You shouldn't get the problem now. (3) Reconnect to the Internet. This should work. You can at least continue your design.

    I am having the same problem. Muse worked fine before lunch. Now it shuts down when I try to open Muse files--Capture.JPG

    Engin, Thanks for the tip. That worked for getting the file open. Do you think I"ll have to do that every time I open a Muse file from now on? Hope not!

    Hi, Rachel. I am afraid the answer is yes. I tried a few times and found that every time I needed to diconnect, run Muse, and reconnect. I am in the midst of designing a site so for me this solution works. I am sure this will be sorted shortly as the message by Corey indicates. E.

    Yeah, I'm getting the same message/same error as you guys.

     

    Bless the man, but I hope it's more than just Corey working on this problem.    Here's hoping it's the entire Muse team working nonstop to fix it.

    When will this WebFont Data Bug be fixed. Many jobs hanging and cannot access any of them!!

    The issue is related to changes made in the TypeKit service. The Muse engineering team is actively working with the Typekit team to resolve the issue.

     

    We apologize the for inconvenience and I will update the forum as soon as the problem is resolved.

    Do NOT reconnect your interent as this will cause the error once again.

     

    1) Disconnect internet, launch Muse.

    2) Leave internet disconnected.

    Thanks again for your patience. This Typekit bug has been fixed and you should now be able to launch Muse again.

    You may find the Web Fonts section in the font list empty. If this is the case, you will simply need to re-add your web fonts.
