computer freeze when updating version 9.5.0

hello dear,

       I have installed adobe reader 9 version 9.5.0 and i'm using window xp proffesional 32 bit, the problem it make's when it start updating, the computer became freeze's that i have to leave it to update but it can not update itself, their is no sign of it, after and hour the updating sign disapear, it happened two time's in a day. please help me.
