Quick copy plus tapping up arrow not working in CS6

In CS5, I was able to make a quick copy of an object, and tap the up arrow before releasing my mouse to create and evenly distribute several copies of the same object. In CS6, this feature is not working. I tried it and it worked once, but then immediately stopped working. Is this a bug?

Here's what I do:

Draw a vertical line.

Drag the vertical line right, while holding option and shift.

Tap up arrow several times to create and evenly distribute new lines.

I have opened both CS5 and CS6 and it is currently working in CS5 and does not work in CS6.

Is this a feature that has been taken away, or is it a bug that might be fixed with a future update?
