NewsStand only for multi-issue subscription?

Hello

Is NewsStand only available for Professional and Enterprise subscribers? Can a Single Edition App be in NewsStand? If not, can it be ugraded to a Multi-Issue at a later date?

    No, Single issue can't be in Newsstand. Yes, single issue can be later upgraded to multi issue in newsstand.

    For your App to be in Newstand, you need to create a Multi Issue with i-Tunes Subscription in DPS App builder. The app needs to have a subscription either free or paid and atleast one issue per 3 months (that's the minimum requirement from Apple). It's only available under DPS Professional and Enterprise Licenses and yes, you can upgrade a non-newstand app to a newstand App later.

    Sorry Himanshu, for Newsstand only these 2 are required - what is the difference?

    And about Unfiltered Mag - what is his plan? I do not understand why i do not see the Subscription button if anyway all 2 plan have Subscription included.

    Multi Issue with Entitlement and i-Tunes subscription is for those DPS Enterprise publishers who intend to use Direct Entitlement feature. If you do not wish to set up an Entitlement service, choose Multi-Issue with iTunes Subscrption.

     

    Direct Entitlement: Integrating direct entitlement into your Adobe ® Digital Publishing Suite application enables your existing print subscribers to access your content on any supported digital device.  With direct entitlement, the publisher “owns” the subscriber’s account and contact information. Single-service implementation supports the ability to provide content portability across multiple devices. For instance, a print subscriber to The New Yorker magazine can now have free access to the same digital content on multiple devices, such as iPad and Kindle Fire devices.

    So can you confirm that for Professional edition paid multifolio with newsstand the correct (and only) way is:

    Multi-Issue with iTunes Subscription

     

    (And about Unfiltered Mag why Subscribe button is missing?)
