Remove cs6 pre-release

Nov 4, 2012 7:59 AM

Hello!

I have tried so many times to remove photoshop cs6 pre-release, but without any success.

I have downloaded photoshop cs6 extended from this link:

http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/tdrc/index.cfm?product=photoshop&loc=en_u s

I stupidly put it in the bin first and emptied the bin when actually I shouldn't have done so. So I tried the cleaner

http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cscleanertool.html

I've put first to remove cs5 , cs5.5 and cs6

then I did it again with cs6 alone.

I've restarted my computer.

Still doesn't work, I always get the message:

"A conflicting or prerelease version of adobe photoshop exists on this computer (...) "

I have searched previous similar topics about the same problem, no success.

Please do help me ;___________;

    Hi Haunted, you've posted this question on the Edge Inspect forum. I'm moving it to the Photoshop General question forum here: http://forums.adobe.com/community/photoshop/general

    In Windows did you go to Uninstall programs and look for CS6 beta?  If you uninstalled it fine, if you just deleted it not so good.  But then if you ran the Adobe Script cleaner you should have gotten all the remnants.

    Have never used the script cleaner, but understand there are differnt levels of removal one can use.
