How do I get rid of highlighting in my PDF ?

    You're going to have to explain exactly what you mean by highlighting. Including a screen capture image might help us understand what you're referring to.

    I created a Word document with highlighting and sent it to a colleague to show her what had changed.  She made it into a pdf and left the text highlighted.  I would now like to remove the highlighting.

    I'm not sure that you can remove it from the PDF, at least easily. It would probably be easier to alter the Word document and generate a new PDF.

    I hear you but she also signed the document and I need to preserve her signature.  I am thinking that if I print it…all 176 pages, the yellow highlight will not show up and then I can just re-scan it…??

    Not likely. The highlight has been converted to a printable object.

     

    If you can't tamper with the document,then send send her the unmarked Word file and ask her to issue the signed PDF. If she is at all reasonable, you explain why and this should be quick and easy.
