move PSE 9 on XP to PSE 11 on Window 8

How do I move all my photos from PSE 9 on Window XP PC to my new Window 8 PC running PSE 11?

Repair and optimize your catalog and make a full backup, then restore it to the new computer.

You do it all within Elements e.g. make the backup in PSE9 Organizer. Install PSE11 on your new machine running W8; then use the restore command within PSE11 Organizer. See the attached notes for further information on the backup & restore process:
