Layout problem with dust cover in book module

I am trying to lay out a dust cover for a book.  I want to have a different photo front and back.

 

I import the first photo but it centres on the paper and does not place itself in the yellow square.  I can adjust size etc and drag it to the right position.

 

If I then drag in the second photo it simply replaces the first.

 

Can anyone advise how to get two photos into the cover please?

    It would appear that you have selected the Image Wrap type cover in the Book Settings panel (top right panel). You might find that the standard hard or soft cover is more suitable. Also, note that you choose from a much broader subset of covers by clicking on the downward pointing triangle found at the bottom right corner of the book cover/page.
