Everytime I try to update the keywords I always get an error and then Bridge shuts down!  Very frustrating!  Any suggestions?

What OS, RAM, and what error message?

Update keywords meaning adding new ones?

I even totally deactivated and removed CS6, then reinstalled.... still cannot add keywords without the program shutting down!

How much hard drive space do you have?  Should have at least 10-20% free.

Have you reset preferences by holding down Ctrl key and starting bridge.  Should get reset window.

I just tried that... nothing changed.  i have about 15% free on my drive.   Tried to reset preferences on both Bridge and Bridge (64bit).  They both shutdown when I try to add keywords.

You said you tried resetng preferences.  Were you sucessful?  Did you get reset window?

Try looking at the Event Log.  In the applications section for BRidge see if you can find Faulting Module.  THat is where problem lies.

For event log check the OS Help file.

Curt - thanks for your time and suggestions!

The reset was unsuccesful for either BRidge or Bridge (64).  IT still did the same thing - closed the program down!

Certainly not an expert on this, but this error frequently means a driver has crashed.  Check you video, printer, scanner, camera drivers.

After  Granting permission and resetting preferences, (ctrl+launch + clear purge ) if it wont work.
    reinstall your adobe bridge: oduct=108

You might be installing it on drive other then your hard drive.
