Trial Version of PSE 11 ("Guided" Edit, options on right side suddenly missing

Help!  I own PSE 9 and downloaded the trial version of PSE 11.  Did a "Guided" edit, great.  Then went on to explore the other edits (which worked great) and then went back to the "Guided" edit only to have all the options on the right hand of the screen missing.  I also remember seeing at the bottom right of the "Guided" page, and Instant edit option and now that is gone.  I believe I may have accidentally turned something off, but can't figure out.  Please Help!  Huge thanks!!!

Try resetting the preferences of Editor:

    1. Close Elements.
    2. Launch the Photoshop Elements Welcome Screen and hold down ctrl + alt + shift as you click Editor.
    3. Continue to hold the keys until you see a message box asking if you want to delete Photoshop Elements settings file; click Yes. Elements will open with default preferences.

In elements 11, the guided,Quick edit are not in right side they are on the top middle of the screen.

You need to uninstall and re-install to fix this problem. Deleting the prefs will make no difference. You may also wish to download the trial again as the original package may have been corrupted.

And when you reinstall please make sure you delete the following folder before reinstall (if it exist):

    C:\ProgramData\Adobe\Photoshop Elements\11.0\Locale\en_us\Workflow Panels

If you can find the Workflow Panel folder you could check to see if Guided Edit.swf is missing.

First download the trial version. Then uninstall your already present version.

Well did you say Plug ins, I think you went to wrong location:

    C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Photoshop Elements 11\Locales\en_US

ProgramData is a hidden folder in Windows. You can open in by typing %programdata% in Start.

Yes that's right. After you download the fresh package of PSE11, uninstall the already installed PSE11 and then install from the fresh package.
