Looking thru the help file for help on setting up presets for making adjustments to more than one image, I keep hearing about doing that by way of the "quick develop" panel, but I don't like that panel... its a bit too basic or something... I don't like making settings where I can't see a bit more about what I'm doing.
Is there a way to create presets when in the Develope mode? I don't see any clues on the the basic panel, but hopefully I'm missing something. Is there not a way to record the settings I've made inside the basic panel into a preset?

Left panel, 'Presets' section, click '+'.
That doesn't really look like what I had in mind. But maybe I'm just not understanding what it does.
When I put an image into develop mode and then make the settings I want in the "basic" panel. Is there someway to save those settings into a preset to apply elsewhere?

I need to retract all but the "thanks". I should have taken a while to try things out before engaging in replying.
Thanks again
