Fastest way to find resolution of 50 images? (InDesign CS5 as part of Creative Suite; Mac)
use SIPS in a Terminal window (OS X)
https://developer.apple.com/library/mac/#documentation/Darwin/Referenc e/ManPages/man1/sips.1.html
scroll down to OPTIONS, image property keys.
If you run it in a batch process and output to a text file you can get the image name and associated resolutions in width and height for all images
You can actually just go to the Links Panel
In the top right corner is a SubMenu
You can choose to display Actual and Effective PPI here.
All the PPI is listed in the links panel beside the images.
If you want to you can display just this information in the links panel then go to "Utilities" and "Copy Info" and paste it into a text editor, like notepad.

I think Image Events will give you actual resolution and not InDesign's effective resolution, which is the output resolution.
