Unlike many posts I am able to install ADE 2.0 on a Windows 7 32 bit computer with all updates.  However whenever I try to run it opens but any click will crash the program.I have uninstalled and reinstalled and still get the same crash.

Moving this discussion to the Adobe Digital Editions forum.

Do you receive any specific error messages when Adobe Digital Editions 2.0 crashes?  What have you tried so far to resolve your difficulties?

Same here. ADE 2.0 keeps crashing with Win 7 Enterprise 32 bits. No specific error message. Tried uninstall and reinstall. Tried download exe with another browser. Tried click under properties under the general tab unblock button next to security. Nothing seems to work. Please advise. Appreciate help.

Adobe Digital Editions is a fairly simple application.  Did you have it working previously on this computer?  If so what changed?  Have you tried booting into selective start up with your start up items and third party services disabled?

What we see on the screen can be misleading.  If an error report is being

sent to Microsoft, it usually means that some parameters associated with

the application have caused a failure.  This can be from the software being

run or from Windows if it's not updated to the 'proper' spec's (which is a

term for Microsoft goofs).  Can't tell which it is, but if you're not

getting any response from Microsoft after the error report, then it's most

likely to be parameters affecting ADE.  I'm assuming (dangerous) that

you're running Windows 7, and if so, then you may need to adjust its

parameters to let ADE access the Internet and download ebooks.

Unfortunately, I'm not a Win 7 expert, so I can't tell you exactly how to

check those parameters and reset them.

I also see this on XP.

My machine is a developer machine, so I get a dialog box from Windows which shows an exception and asks me if I want to start a debugger.

    The exception is an ArgumentsOutofBoundsException.

THis looks like a Java or .Net exception. Is there a specific .Net version that is needed?

I need ADE 2.0 because it has support for the B&N Nook. The earlier versions don't.

    Please fix this!
