Restoring People Recognition Data... lockup

Had Photoshop/Premiere Elements 8. Downloaded version 11 yesterday. PSE catalog converted fine, except when I open Organizer I get "Restoring People Recognition Data..." dialog box with progress bar at 2%. It locks the Organizer there, and the program no longer responds. Let it run all night with no success.

 

Tried the shift open tactic and turned off automatic analysis... still no luck.
