Plotting/Graphing large numbers in Illustrator v5.5

Dec 4, 2012 1:03 PM

Have to Graph some data that involves the population within an age group. The lowest number on the graph needs to be 3,700,000 and the highest 4,800,000. I plot the data BUT can not seem to figure out how to adjust the settings to get the lower number I need. Divisions should be "11" but

- Object; Graph; Type; Graph Options; Value Axis - but then I can not enter 3,700,000 as the minimum.

How do I get there folks??

Usually when graphing such large numbers it is done with a divisable in Millions  so that 3.7 is 3,700,000. 3.835 is then 3,835,000.

Not certain this will be of help.

    You're welcome.

The way you have it also a common method and is usually footnoted, legended or noted as "in 000's"
