I'd like to add a custom icon to DVDs and BDs to be seen when the discs are on the desktop (win or os x) instead of the system icons.
IF that could be done, it would require scripting... which Encore does not do
But... I'm not sure that can even be done, since the DVD standard is for desktop players, not computers

It does sound kinda fun.
to be seen when the discs are on the desktop (win or os x) instead of the system icons.
But I don't know what this really means.
You can pick a different icon for a class of files. But a DVD installed in a drive does not result in a file and it is not on the desktop. So what would appear on the desktop?
If you are putting a DVD folder or image in the desktop folder, you can change the icon.
But I don't know if there is a way to have a file be associated with an icon without changing it.
Does an Encore authored disk, folder, image have any identifier associated with it? (E.g. imgburn reads some codes; are they any different for an authored disk).
