Your suggestion helped. Thank you. However, I needed the Mac version which I found at:

http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/error-licensing-stopped-mac- os.html

I started following the directions but quit after a while. A colleague suggested I re-install the program from the install disk. That worked -- a very easy fix.
