Thanks to this forum I have a basic website almost done with 2-300 items defined with a description, jpg image and price autogenerated wusing PHP based on atext file of the item meta data. Now ,.. I need to add the ability for viewers to select an item and proces their purchase using paypal or something else. I have very limited funds and so I am inclined to not purchase the DreamWeaver add on siftware but I need advice. Is it possible for me to build in ecomerce myself (novice programmer) where the user will feel like my site is professional enough?
If yes, what should I read/follow?
If no, what solution could I buy that would make e-commerce integration easy and professional?
Your advice is deeply appreciated.
It's what you don't know that can hurt you. Don't be penny wise and pound foolish with e-commerce. PayPal, Google Checkout or an industry approved shopping cart are inexpensive ways to accept on-line credit card transactions without risk to you or your site visitors.
