Photoshop CS6 Brush Preset Picker Problem

Dec 5, 2012 1:45 PM

Hello

I'd like to know if it's possible to tidy up my PSCS 6 Brush Preset Picker?  Please see image.

My brushes are installed here:  C:/Program Files/Adobe/Adobe Photoshop CS6 (64bit)/Presets/Brushes

I can't seem to find any other location that would be causing this issue.  It's only happened since I installed CS6.

Thanks for any help or advice

You have duplicates of many of the files.

And you just have a LOT of brush preset files.  Grouping them into functional files ("chalk brushes", "grunge brushes", "swirls" etc.) would help a lot.

They are duplicates in the actual folders - somewhere you have the same filename twice.

They'd have to be in the Photoshop preset folder, or in your user preset folder.

The location within the preset folder doesn't matter - the organization under the preset folder is for your convenience, but Photoshop reads all the files under the preset folder.
