photoshop elements and premier 11 upgrade edition purchased, do i need anything else to use it????

i have purchased this product for gift and it says that it is an upgrade edition i just want to know if that means it includes the original programs or do i need to purchase something else aswell?

    You just need to own any previous version of PSE/PRE to use the upgrade pricing.

    do i need photoshop and premiere or just one of the two?

    I believe you need the identical product to register an upgrade. But look out on-line because during the run up to the Christmas and New Year holidays many large retailers have big discounts. It’s often possible to get the full product cheaper than the upgrade version.
