NVIDIA GeForce GTX 680MX 2 gigs ram, will it work with adobe Mercury playback Engine for accelerated rendering for Premeire Pro cs6?
I am a PC guy but, I have 6 work stations with CS6 but the wife wants a Mac so I am getting her an imac with the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 680MX 2 gigs ram. Do you think this video card in the mac will still be able to utilize the Adobe CS6 MPE?
I asked the question on the mac forum & got no replys.

It's not formally supported by Adobe for GPU acceleration; however judging from the fact that the lesser GTX-650M is (with 6.02 update), and the end-user ability to enable support for unsupported cards in Adobe apps, it should work.
For Windows, there is a hack http://forums.adobe.com/thread/629557 - which is a simple entry in a "supported cards" file
I have NO idea if there is a similar hack for a Mac
>Soon perhaps?
Nobody who knows (staff or beta test volunteers) is allowed to talk about Adobe's plans
Tell Adobe at this link https://www.adobe.com/cfusion/mmform/index.cfm?name=wishform
The more requests, the more likely Adobe will assign test staff to that card
I just tried the following and it worked! Both Premiere and After Effects recognize the 860MX.
