Before I updated Indesign I had no issue with exporting ePUB files. Then afterwards, I started losing my breaks and spaces
Now when exported it looks like this:
This doesn't happen if I export for PDF and the XHTML of the ePUB file has the paragraphs in the code.
Why would you want a blank paragraph in an epub or any other document for that matter?
That’s what paragraph spacing and CSS margin-top and margin-bottom are for.
You’ll be a lot happier with the results if you do it without the blank paragraphs.

After playing around with some of the settings, I'm still losing the spaces and breaks I had put in. For example:
When it is converted to ePUB. Although, when I use the Kindle plugin 9to publish a mobi file) it keeps the original layout.
