I've tried that from the files system already, ran scan disk for about 4 hours, and also I can not open the project to save as..
Has anyone else had similar issues? Why isn't there a preimiere project XML reformer, that can splice out bad sections and reform the file into something half there? If it just loses a section of the file in the XML about a certain timeline seems like you shouls be able to cut that out and still open the file only losing that bad section.
Moving the file or scanning the file system is not going to recover a corrupted file. It will just help to prevent future corruption.
Project files can be very complicated and simply cutting part of the file out may cause more problems than it would necessary solve.
I understand, however I can almost decipher the project file by reading it with human eyes. Just seems like there would be a way to recover the file to where *some* of the project comes back. The prproj file seems like it defines elements in a very linear format and based on assets and timelines. So no doubt it is complex, but recovering an ill formed xml expecting to lose *some* data doesn't seem that hard given someone that understands the format well enough.
