tifimage Calculating status...

I have InDesign CS5.5 on mac, my character and paragraph palette is blank.

I can't see any of the preset ones that I previously had in my files. There is nothing. I add a character style and it does not appear in palette.

Can anyone help me?

I have fixed it! I just went to the top right hand and reset the setting - I had advanced palettes, so just reset my palettes and all good.
