Add link to open pdf file in dps publication

Dec 11, 2012 8:11 AM

I hope someone can help as this is really urgent.

I have followed the instructions from 'DPS Tips' regarding creating a HTML Resources folder and compressing the folder containing the PDF files etc... However when I do this, update my folio and go to open the pdf in my DPS folio displayed through content viewer on my iPad, it pops up saying 'cannot open page. The error is - the requested URL is not found on this server'

Does anyone know how I can sort this, I have followed every instruct, tried several pdfs and buttons etc.

Thanks

Are you selecting the "Go To URL" action? Remember that when referencing PDFs using the HTMLResource method you need to delete the "http://" and just have something like this "HTMLResources/example.pdf."

When you created the .zip file, did you select the contents of the folder (not the folder itself)? Did you import that .zip file into the folder you're testing?

    Hi,

    1. Create a file.zip with name HTMLResources.zip

    2. Import for article

    3. Create a button with action "Go to URL" and put the code "HTMLResources/namefilePDF.pdf

Put the name of the PDF, for example:

    I Have 3 files pdf: one.pdf, two.pdf, three.pdf, I create a file.zip of the all files pdf and put name HTMLResources.zip.

In action of the button I put HTMLResources/one.pdf

For viewer the file PDF with name one.pdf

Test by the Viewer Folio Builder

    Something tells me
