CS6 crashing when saving a file.

Dec 11, 2012 5:31 PM

I am running Adobe Illustrator Cs6 on my Windows 8 computer. I have been using the program with no problems for a few days now.  However today the program is crashing when I try to save a file.  It starts saying it is not responding. I have tried restarting the computer a few times. Any ideas as to why it might be doing this and what I need to do to fix it? I really need to get the program working ASAP.

Thanks!

We need to know some exact system info and details abouzt what the file contains. Many of these crashes simply happen when ther program is unable to embed rasrterized preview data or similarly, raster effects/ pixel images in the file make the saver go *boom*. Of course the standard solutions apply - trahs the prefs, save locally, turn off external interferences liek virus scanners.
