After my trial version of LR4 expired I have had a few problems with LR3.
The problem now is that it seems the Collections I created while using LR4 trial version are not listed in the LR3 collection panel. As of yet I'm not sure that those are the only collections that are missing. I do have LR backed up (every time I shut down LR) but I don't know how to go about importing the collections or where to find them. I don't see "Collections" in the backup folder.
Any assistance will be appreciated.
I'm feelin better.
But let me get clear. When I used the trial version I simply dowmloaded it from the Adobe site and used it from it's desktop icon as I would have normally used LR3 through each working day. I let the trial version larpse and the LR4 trial icon is still on my desktop. I didn't create any new catalogs. Given this, can I assume that if I install LR4 from a LR4 disc I will have the collections I created in LR4 trial version and all previously created collections available in the Collections panel ?
If so, would it be a stanard install or is there a special procedure for assuring LR3 collections and collections created in LR4 trail are integrated into one whole collection group in LR4 ?

Yes
I didn't create any new catalogs.
Actually, you did, you just don't know it. Your LR3 catalog was upgraded to LR4.

Normal install should do it.
