runtime error

When I try to open Adobe Photoshop Elements Editor for Elements 11.0 version, I get a message that says: Runtime error! This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. How can I fix this?

What is your Operating System?
Is there more information in the error message?
I'll see if there is a Ps Elements for beginners forum to move this discussion there...

Thank you for responding to my dilemma. I have a Windows 7 operating system. The only additional part of the Runtime Error message I get is to "contact the application's support team for more information".

Hello, the same error occured on my PC (Windows 7 64bit).
When I start PhotoShop Elements 11 - Organizer,

I get the following error Message shown for a few seconds:
and after that automatically:
Pressing "Debuggen" has no rection at all (I have Visual C++ and Delphi w Debugging ON installed).
All I can Do is "Programm schliessen" (close program).
There is no Error Number or similar identification of the error.
Any help much appreciated!
