I'm sure the answer will be simple to some but I still have the question. I've checked FAQ, and a Google search just leads to Torrent sites...
I've installed a downloaded package of ID CS6 to a Win 7, 64 bit, PC and all appears to be fine. The install package had 3 files and instructions (which don't cover my query).
InDesign_8_LS16.exe launches the installer and unpacks all the required files from InDesign_8_LS16.7z - so far so good. What about the other file, InDesignFamily_8_Content_ALL.exe ?
What does it contain? Do I have to run it or has the installer already done so? Thanks for any enlightenment on offer.
Expand the file and take a look at waht's in it. You should find some additional fonts, I think, plus some plugins (including legacy twain plugins for Photoshop if memory serves) and I'm not sure what else. I think you'll also find documentation for what's included.
For the benefit of anyone searching for this answer, I found only a collection of fonts which was useful in itself. This is available in 23 different language folders. Definitely useful rather than essential and, this was my worry, it doesn't install anything - just unpacks the file onto the desktop.
