How can I make a "jumper effect" to make an object appear?

Dec 30, 2012 12:07 AM

Hi!

I have footage for my marketing class commercial... I'd like to make a car "appear" with a jumper effect out of nowhere on a street, and also a person (myself) appear with a jumper effect...

I have no idea how to do this. I have background footage, but I didn't use a tripod so the footage position varies juuuuust a little.... I've had experience with cameras before so I can keep a camera pretty still... Can somebody teach me? Perhaps I could upload the footage to YouTube to show you guys... Thank you!

EDIT: I'm uploading the YouTube video... I'd like to car to "appear" right when it's about center in the frame.

EDIT: Here is the footage: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yHcngBYyq1o&feature=youtu.be

Did you actually shoot a car (or your self)  in the actual position that you want stuff to appear?

Do you have a car/ self  image  that you would want to appear in the position that you want to on your bg footage?

Can you draw a car / self portrait suitable to appear in the position you want to see stuff appear at?

Why did you hand hold this BG footage?

See Todds post #1 as well..but you needed to plan the rest of this before you shot it.

Marketing classes should leave commercial making to Film making classes.
