Photoshop CS6 program error saving layered files

Dec 31, 2012 10:37 AM

I have had this problem so much I have switched back to using CS5 Photoshop when I handle layers. For some reason when I have a multi-layered photoshop file in CS6 and I try to save - it gives me a program error. This doesnt happen all the time just when I have been working on a document for a long length of time ( maybe something to do with auto save?) The only way I can save the file is to flatten but then I loose all of my hard work and layers! HELP!!

Did you install the 13.0.3 or 13.1.1 update?

    (you're probably on 13.0.2 or 13.1.0)

In Bridge click edit/camera raw and uncheck the option to open TIFF in ACR.  Bridge has a habit of recaching layered TIFF's so the file is unavailable.  Known  problem, awaiting a fix.
